Please read the following information for some additions/corrections to our Heritage Weekend Booklet and schedule!
-The Parsonage-Williams’ House will be OPEN on Saturday only. Located at 208 N. Main Moorefield.
-John Mathias Homestead will be open on Saturday and Sunday. Located on Rt. 259 at Howards Lick Rd, Mathias.
-Rosedale Gardens will NOT be open.
-The Hatfield and McCoy exhibit at East Hardy High School will NOT take place. The band Raw Country is still scheduled Saturday at 6:30pm at EHHS.
-There will be a Garden Market at the stoplight in Moorefield on Saturday morning featuring local products. KS Flower Farm will be hosting a “bouquet bar” during this time. Stop by to make a beautiful home-grown floral bouquet, buy pumpkins, and other floral arrangements.
-Weese Farm will be opening their “Fall on the Farm” during Heritage Weekend. Saturday 11am-5pm and Sunday 11am-3pm. (Closed in the event of inclement weather) Located at 212 Gooseneck Drive, Fisher WV.
-The Art Exhibit at the Hardy County Public Library will feature a collection of works about Hardy County from local artists; including Margaret Allan, photos from the Bishoff collection, and Than Htay Maung.
The following events have been added to Heritage Weekend and will take place in Petersburg.
-Old Fashioned Cake Walk -Saturday 6pm at the Grant County Magistrate Court Parking Lot, Virginia Ave.
-Grant County Dark Skies StarWatch -Saturday 7:30-10pm at thePetersburg City Park.
-Demonstrations at the South Side Depot (Official Welcome Center)-Saturday 10am-4pm
-Book signing
-Goats milk soap demonstration
-Butter making
